Brian Hager - Sr. Pastor

My name is Brian Hager and I have the God given privilege to serve some of the greatest folks on earth as senior pastor of Bethany Baptist Church.  I was not raised in a church, so I had little or no knowledge of the saving work of Christ until I was in my late 20’s. Being a skeptic at heart, I thought considerably about the Gospel before realizing in my heart that it is totally true and that I needed a Savior. I have since graduated from Southeaster College at Wake Forest with a degree in Biblical studies and philosophy and I am currently pursuing a Master’s of Divinity through Liberty University.  I have a desire to preach and teach the Word of God in a way that results in life change.

I have been married to my wonderful wife Wendie for 11 years. She is a very important part of my life and ministry. We are expecting our first child in December and are truly thankful for the blessing God is giving us. I enjoy hunting, fishing and philosophy.  I truly believe with all my heart that Christ is Lord of all and deserves that place in all men’s hearts.  I hope that my family and your family will get to know each other as we seek to love and serve God together!

Jesse Ottesen - Youth Minister

Jesse is  the minister to the youth. He is married to his wife Kristy and they have a daughter named Raegan. Jesse and Kristy are expecting their second child in March of 2012. Jesse has a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education from the Baptist College of Florida and is currently working on his Master of Divinity from the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Jesse teaches the Bible through seven main points which are authentic faith; spiritual discipline; moral boundaries; healthy friendships; wise choices; ultimate authority and other’s first.   Everything that the youth do at Bethany Baptist will reflect one of these seven main points in some form or another.
